New Study Supports The Team Care Model For Back Pain

Recently, I met with a patient who struggled with lower back pain for two years. He initially saw his MD, who prescribed medications which offered only temporary pain relief. Because he still had pain, he decided to seek care in our clinic. This is a very typical history for patients to our clinic, but a recent study finds that making the chiropractor the first provider  to consult for back pain would save millions.

Can You Benefit From Just 10 Minutes of Exercise?

As a mom of 3 young children I know what it is like to be very busy. I often find it hard to fit in a good chunk of time for exercise.  Other moms and dads I know feel the same way.  We are often an “all or nothing” society and feel we need at least 30 minutes to 1 hour in order to get a good workout in or it is not worth our time.

Food for Thought

Two weeks ago I was at an antique store with my 15 year old daughter, Olivia.  This is always interesting because what I remember as if it was yesterday is now to be found in an antique shop.  Anyway, we came across a 6 pack of 8 ounce bottles of Coke.  Olivia thought they were very “cute.”  I told her that that’s the size we had when I was a kid.  We of course teased each other about the difference in our generations, but it got me to thinking about how we are over served in this day and age.
