There is a national debate within the chiropractic community about expanding our scope to include writing prescriptions for medications. In my opinion, the arguments in favor of an expanded scope of practice don’t convince me to change my mind. I think it would be bad for the chiropractic profession and the overall health of our citizens.
The holidays are generally a green light for eating what you want without guilt. It’s a time for family gatherings, sentimental traditions, neighborhood and work parties. Specialty foods are prepared and served. It’s cookie season. There are temptations around every corner!
I went to Byerly’s to pick up my fruits and vegetables for the week. I almost always buy organic, so I tend to pick out what I want- sometimes without checking prices. While scanning, I had to do a double take on the price of the cucumbers. They rang up at a whopping $4.49 a piece! I asked if that was a “per pound” rather than “each” price. The cashier assured me it was $4.49 each. I didn’t have time to shop around and I really wanted them, so I paid the price and left.
We see athletes of all types, from the weekend warrior to the professional, high end athlete. No matter the level, athletes are always looking for a competitive edge. So if I told you as an athlete there is a way you could train harder with less risk of injury, would you be interested?
