Obese kids: Blame your lifestyle, not genetics

Posted on August 31st, 2011

The problem of  obesity in the US is well documented . When it is our own children that are obese, it is very easy to make excuses. However, your child is probably not “big boned,”  and it is not “in her fathers genes.”  The scientific evidence, supported by a recent study as well, concludes that it is nearly always lifestyle and behavior that create obesity.

This is an astoundingly successful option for patients that may have felt resigned to surgery. But what about the 40% of patients with stubborn disc conditions who didn’t have a successful outcome from chiropractic? Vertebral Axial Decompression (VAX-D) has been shown to be successful in 75% of even the most stubborn low back disc patients.
