This month we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Team Health Care Clinic. Mostly it doesn’t seem possible that it has been that long. However, when I reflect on the many changes that have occurred with our staff and clinic, it only makes sense that it has been 20 years.
In my previous blog, we established that reducing pressure on herniated, bulging, or degenerative discs using decompression therapy is vital if we are to heal the disc. To get true healing and retraction, a negative pressure within the disc should be attained. Only one system I am aware of, Vertebral Axial Decompression (VAX-D), has been proven to decompress lumbar discs.
On any given day, 6.5 million people are bedridden because of back pain. One of the most common is disc problems; injured, bulging, herniated or degenerative discs can create severe low back or leg pain from irritation to roots of the sciatic nerve. Pressure on these injured discs, even from daily activities, can lead to more bulging and irritation.
